etnies’ Mike Manzoori wins best original screenplay for AIMLESS

etnies is proud to announce its very own Mike Manzoori, film maker and former pro skateboarder, took home Best Original Screenplay for AIMLESS last night at the International Skateboard Film Festival.

“It was a privilege to have an opportunity to do something a little different with skateboard film making,” said Mike Manzoori. “I am very lucky that etnies and the skaters have the faith in me to let me try new things. As with any project like this, it was very much a group effort so the award really goes to all involved.”

Manzoori created AIMLESS as a panoramic film debuting at etnies’ 25 year anniversary celebration at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, France. The film captures the feeling of pure exploration from a skateboarder’s perspective and includes etnies skate riders Tyler Bledsoe, Jose Rojo, Kyle Leeper, Cairo Foster and BMX rider Nathan Williams.

In addition to AIMLESS, Manzoori was also nominated at the International Skateboard Film Festival for Best Commercial and Best Director for Rain or Shine, his short film shot during a street session in the rain featuring Kyle Leeper.
