Charles Spearin - Exclaim's Best Records of 2009

RVCA advocate and founding Broken Social Scene member, Charles Spearin was recently awarded the honor of Best Records of 2009 by Exclaim!*'# Magazine for his release, The Happiness Project. The record is a collection of sounds in tandem with interviews with Charles's downtown Toronto neighbours who all speak on their ideas and thoughts on happiness. It is a truly touching and endearing record and as one review quite accurately put it... "It doesn't always take much to lose faith in humanity and its capacity for compassion and understanding. Likewise, it doesn't take much to renew that same faith.". Charles can also be seen sporting a handsome RVCA Spanky button up in the press photo for the Exclaim!*'# write up.
