This year's LG Snowboard FIS World Cup moved locations from the Canadian Olympic Park in Calgary to Stoneham, Quebec but one thing didn't change is Brooke's position on the podium. For the third year in a row Brooke was the top placed Canadian female taking home Silver in slopestyle proving she's not only consistent but a definite contender to represent Canada at the 2014 Winter Games. Brooke's run consisted of her signature smooth 5-0 on the down bar, Gap to down Frontboard, Frontside 360, Method, Backside 360, and she finished off with a stylish Lipslide pretzel out. This result places Brooke in 13th for the Final Freestyle Overall World Cup Standings women
You can watch the video recap of the Finals including Brooke's second place run and a short interview here

Emerica and West 49 ran a contest where you could win the chance to hang out and skate with Andrew Reynolds in Los Angeles. All you had to do was buy one of Reynold’s signature shoes from Emerica and enter your receipt number online. Josh Wiens & his friend Ky Oliver were the fortunate winnersfrom Winnipeg and had a day that is pretty hard to top. The day started with being picked up by Emerica’s team manager Heath Kirchart. They were taken to Baker Boys Distribution where they met up with Andrew Reynolds and skated the park in the back of the warehouse. After skating with Andrew and some of the Emerica and Shake Junt team for a while, Josh and Ky were each handed a box full of goodies from Baker/Shake Junt and Emerica. The boys were super hyped on what they found inside – 10 boards, shoes, tees and enough stickers to plaster a wall! Our next stop was Andrew Reynolds at the local park! He skated effortlessly around the park and was greeted by everyone and slapped too many high fives to remember. As the afternoon wore on and the sun had taken all our energy, Andrew wrapped up the day by signing a couple decks and tees for Josh and Ky. After dinner we were fortunate enough to attend the Transworld Skate Awards and enjoyed the premiere for the Cinematographer Project. Although the day seemed to go by too fast, everyone had a great time. We skated some great parks and have some memories that are really hard to forget. Thanks to Andrew, Heath, Jeff Henderson, Timothy and everybody at Emerica for the amazing memories! - Homer (Emerica sales rep for Timebomb Trading).

"Emerica, Carhartt and Kingpin Magazine teamed up and sent out builder crews and riders to various DIY spots all over Europe; mixing concrete, putting dreams into effect, setting them in stone. Covering locations as distant as Berlin, Germany; Brescia, Italy; Sheffield, England and Helsinki, Finland the outcome is as versatile as the different countries, as facetted as the people in skateboarding and as manifold as the things they like to skate. Documenting all the beauty – all the sick spots, all the pouring, all the mud sweat and beers – plus much more, how-to's, the tools of the trade and of course some rad skating, Kingpin made an exclusive DIY issue (out now) and some fine edits." ETNIES BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER AS THEIR BUY A SHOE, PLANT A TREE PROJECT TAKES ROOT IN BRAZIL
The Reforestation Project that Planted Thousands of Trees in Costa Rica in 2011 Moves to Brazil and Partners with Trees for the Future in 2012
February 7, 2012 (Lake Forest, CA) – Over the last 500 years, Brazil’s Atlantic Rainforest has been destroyed dramatically leaving only seven percent of its original cover today. Through agricultural production and urban development, millions of acres of trees have been tragically damaged, burned or cut down. etnies, a global action sports footwear brand, is stepping in by expanding its Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree project to help reverse Brazil’s deforestation. Through its partnership with Trees for the Future, a leading nonprofit organization planting trees worldwide through seed distribution, agroforestry training and in-country technical assistance, etnies will bring people together to make a difference in this area, one shoe and tree at a time.
etnies will support planting 100,000 trees within the Atlantic Rainforest’s state of São Paulo throughout 2012. The one-for-one program plants a tree for every purchase of etnies Jameson 2 and Jameson 2 Eco men’s and kid’s shoes as well as girl’s Caprice Eco and Circe Eco shoes.
