We would like to send our most heartfelt best wishes and good luck out to our friends and RVCA Advocates, Broken Social Scene at tonite's 2010 Polaris Music Prize awards ceremony. The band is nominated for their juggernaut of an LP, Forgiveness Rock Record. And even though BSS are up against a murderer's row of Canadian independent music talent we know they are gonna walk away the winners, making it the 2nd year in a row that someone in the Timebomb family (Fucked Up in 2009), takes home the illustrious award. Good luck boys and girl.

Check out this edit shot all in one day of filming with LRG's Tommy for his Ride The Sky part HERE. One of the gnarliest pieces of skating we have witnessed: A banging line, a filler line, and his last trick for a part all in the matter of a couple of hours. Dude is a beast.
Front Style Magazine recently checked in with Damian from Fucked Up for their 'At Home With..." section. Along with his vinyl, pugs, gorilla masks, and plastic hands Damian was also kind enough to give a shout out to his good friends at Altamont Apparel.

Dragon’s own Balaram Stack becomes the first New Yorker ever to win the coveted unsOund pro mens title. Balaram fresh off his =5th place finish in the Nike 6 unsOund jr pro three days ago , builds on his momentum and takes down a talent heavy field , for the first professional win of his career . Right from the first round Stack looked unstoppable , posting 2 out of the 3 highest heat totals for the day. His quarter final heat saw Stack combo the rest of the field with two 8 point plus wave scores. In the semis he took down an in form Fisher Heaverly , with a barrage of ariel antics . The final saw Stack vs Michael Dunphy . In a wave starved final, Stack capitalized on a priority error by Dunphy and posted a 6.5 to move ahead of Dunphy with 3 minutes left in the heat. In the end Dunphy could'nt find the score he needed to retake the lead , and Stack was crowned the 2010 unsOund pro Champ.

etnies’ team rider Sean Malto took first place at the Street League contest yesterday in Ontario, Calif. This huge win for Malto came with a $150,000 check too! Street League Pro Tour Stop #2 Final Results: First: Sean Malto, Second: Chaz Ortiz, Third: Nyjah Huston, Fourth: Ryan Sheckler.
The final etnies Canadian Concrete of the summer was held at Brookswood park, Sunday, August 29th, an it was without a doubt, the largest bmx jam the lower mainland has seen at an outdoor park! 400+ people were in attendance, riders and spectators alike, who came to shred, support, and heckle in Langley BC. Pro class was unusually lean due to so many regular entrants being out with injuries (get better dave Meyers, Jason teet, and James Vanderkamp!), however, stand out Brandon Van Dulken definitely shone is his first ever pro win. Young gun Anthony Messere came in second with huge tricks and transfers, and Wade Lajlar rounded out the top 3 with his usual insane tricks that no one else does. The biggest stand outs though were young guns (13 years old?) Adam Piatek and Greg Dieno who placed 1 and 2 in the Am Great class respectively. These kids are the next Canadian pros so definitely watch out for them next year, as we are for sure bumping at least one of them up to the money class. Check the video footage HERE.
