FUCKED UP on CBC's Q TV

Just recently Altamont advocate Damien Abraham, of our good friends Fucked Up, made an appearance and threw down a really amazing interview with CBC's Q TV (a great show if you ever get the chance to watch or listen). Damien and host Jian Ghomeshi sat down for an interesting discussion on his recent appearances on the now infamous in Canada, FOX News' late night show 'Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld’. If you're a fan of the band or had even just been following the Canadian Military comment controversy with FOX news then this is definitely worth the watch. Big ups to Dame for representing in an Altamont New Era.

Also, if you like the interview so much that you want to listen to it again and again, this is a link to a podcast version.

Bryan Herman - "The most amazing thing..."

In the latest in the series of insightful video segments Altamont has been posting on their site they spend some time with Altamont OG contributor and hardflip expert, Bryan Herman. A really interesting piece as he sheds some light on the early Baker/Emerica era that we so fondly remember him for, as well as what it's like to live the dream so many of us wish we could.

WITS more info

Main Event goes international for the first time! The Emerica team will be heading up to Vancouver, BC, Canada for Go Skateboarding Day on June 21, 2009, and Wild in the Streets. This year, Wild in the Streets will benefit Leeside, the DIY skatepark that Lee Matasi started in Vancouver. Lee was shot and killed in 2005 and Leeside is an extension of his dream. Meet at the Downtown Skate Plaza at 1pm, bring your skateboard and we go from there! Everybody welcome! Join the Facebook event HERE. The goal of Wild in the Streets is to build community & raise awareness of skateboarding and the needs of skateboarders. It is our hope that Wild in the Streets will someday take on the character of a large-scale, decentralized grassroots movement for the benefit of skateboarders everywhere. We believe in the ability of skateboarders to empower themselves to do great things. Be a part of something amazing, or better yet, create your own amazing event.
