Owen Wins Biggest Prize Purse in the History of Professional Surfing!!

Here is a picture of Owen in the Dragon JAM as he wins 300k in the Quik NY Pro over Kelly Slater. The 2 of them met in the final for the second time in a row and this time Owen dominated to take the win in perfect 4-6 foot surf. He now moves into 2nd place overall in the 2011 ASP World Tour Rankings going into the Hurley Pro Trestles Event next week starting September 16-24th.

Dragon and surfing sensation, Owen Wright have teamed up to create a signature sunglass based on Dragon’s number one selling frame, The Jam. Drawing inspirations from back home in Australia and growing up as a kid, Owen wanted to design something that reminded him of summer’s in Australia.

“I wanted to create something that is me….and what I do beyond surfing,” says Owen. “The ocean has been such a big part of my life. I basically grew up in it-swimming, fishing, and snorkeling reefs. When you put these sunnies on you will feel like you’re in the ocean.”
